An old pine tree grows from a moss and lichen covered boulder.
Keum-boo is the ancient Korean technique of fusing high karat gold to fine silver. I roll the gold myself until it is paper thin then draw the design on and cut it out with a razor blade. The pure precious metals are bonded atomically using heat and pressure (I use a hotplate and burnisher). Its a fun process. The necklace and chain are oxidized to highlight the gold design.
