I wanted these earrings to look as though the leaves were decaying and the last of the autumn gold was fading into black so I traced them from a leaf I found on one of my rambles before cutting and adhering the gold.
Keumboo is the ancient Korean art of gilding. I thinly roll 24 karat gold until it is a little thicker than paper, cut it with an exacto knife and then permanently fuse it to light and comfortable oxidized fine silver leaves which hang from oxidized sterling wires. They are perfect for every day wear, active wear, work and also restful time.
They are one of a kind not one leaf looks exactly like the other.
