I created this light, comfortable pendant by tracing a leaf I found on one of my wanders through the wild, and transforming it into this oxidized fine silver piece with 24-karat gold cut and adhered to it using a technique called Keum-boo.
Keum-boo is the ancient Korean art of gilding. I thinly roll the gold until it is a little bit thicker than paper, then carefully cut it out and fuse it to fine silver. Once it’s fused, I oxidize the silver for the finished effect.
